In the heart of the Loire Valley, between forests, ponds and sunlit clearings, this stay combines gentle walking with a donkey, botanical collecting and creative workshops around the plant dye and Tatakizomé.
Accessible to children from 8 years old, this weekend is aimed at families, couples and nature lovers in search of a sensitive and inspiring break.

Here, hiking becomes a source of inspiration.
We observe, we pick, we marvel at the textures and nuances offered by the forest: veined leaves, delicate petals, amazing bark.
 directly reveals the shapes and pigments of plants.
Using plants harvested in the morning, each person freely experiments, composes and creates a unique work.

You go hiking with a donkey in the Sologne forest , in the heart of the Loire Valley , to explore the forest paths and discover the hidden plant treasures of the forest.

As the walk progresses, the hike becomes an exploration: we pick leaves, flowers and bark, we observe the textures, we marvel at the nuances and colors that nature reveals at every step.

Then comes the moment to create.

Alongside the artist Albane Daviaud, you transform your discoveries into unique works of art using plant dyeing and Tatakizomé techniques.

Plant dyeing allows you to extract natural pigments from plants to bring your fabrics or papers to life.
Tatakizome, a Japanese plant printing technique, directly reveals the shapes, textures, and colors of the plants collected during your hike.

This creative workshop in the heart of nature is a sensory and soothing experience. It invites you to slow down, observe, and create with what the forest spontaneously offers.

It's a true interlude of reconnection: we walk, we pick, we experiment… and we leave with unique creations, living memories of this adventure shared with family, as a couple or with friends.

A suspended moment where the forest becomes a palette, nature a source of inspiration, and hiking a profoundly creative experience.

After breakfast, several optional activities are available:

  • Bike ride to Cheverny Castle 
  • Self-guided hike with a donkey 
  • Hike “The Call of the Wild” with a donkey and a forest ranger
  • Visit one or more Loire Valley castles at your own pace
  • Visit to Beauval Zoo 

 

From €150 per adult for 2 to 3 participants 

From €115 per person for 4 participants

These prices are given as an indication only; depending on your requests, a quote will be drawn up before booking: in particular for groups of more than 5 people, for people wishing for separate rooms.

These prices include:

  • 2 nights in unusual accommodation
  • 2 breakfasts
  • 1 basket of local produce
  • 1 picnic basket

The workshops are entirely optional and can be booked individually. This flexibility allows everyone to create their own weekend according to their preferences:

  • Plant dyeing workshop or tatakizome (including the associated hike): €45 per person

For Sunday, we can add the following activities:

  • "Call of the Wild" hike with a forest ranger and his donkeys: €65
  • Bike rental: €25 per person

These prices do not include: 

  • Drinks and your personal expenses
  • Entrance fees to the castles you could visit and entrance to Beauval Zoo
