From Briennon to Iguerande by canoe :
You will be welcomed in Briennon for a half day in a canoe, on a course of one to two hours where you can calmly descend the Loire and take nice refreshment breaks! Your journey will end less than 1 km from your stopover tonight, at Céline and Sandy's : you can then still enjoy the Loire by extending your swim session, then you can walk to your stopover tonight following the towpath of the Roanne to Digoin canal. A good meal for athletes awaits you!

From Iguerande to Briennon by bike on the greenway :
Your bikes will be on site, you just have to get on the mto take the greenway along the Loire, then the canal. We suggest a small detour to Charlieu, a village with character in the Loire. You can visit this magnificent village, and especially the Benedictine abbey, a must. Excavations have revealed the layout of churches fromthe 9th, 10th and 11th centuries. Do not forget the visit of the Gothic cloister, then to the chapter house with a Roman colonnade in an exceptional state of conservation.Many restaurants for all budgets will allow you to have your lunch break in Charlieu before finishing your excursion by the "cul du Sornin", a very beautiful place on the edges of the Loire! Distance depending on the age of the children and your level (between 15 and 60 km on the green way).

The river Loire, the longest French river, commonly called the last wild river in Europe, is a magnificent river. You will evolve in an area classified as Natura 2000. Natura 2000 groups together natural sites, all over Europe, identified for the rarity or the fragility of wild, animal or plant species and their habitats.
It is considered by Balzac as "the prettiest sky in the world above our heads".
Here it is the Loire in Burgundy, not that of the castles, not that of the gorges a little further upstream, that of the bocage, still young and capricious, with its islands scattered everywhere and its elegant meanders.
You will approach it on the first day in a canoe: there will be remarkable landscapes where flora and fauna will give your stay great interest; so flowing on the water you can get close to some species, such as Common Terns, Gray Herons, Black Herons, Great Crested Grebes, Swallows and many other remarkable birds. Canoeing on the Loire is an activity that is just as suitable for families as it is for groups of friends : you have to be on good terms, on the same wavelength, otherwise, you can't move forward! This often leads to some good laughs, because it is not always easy to remain in control of your boat and its trajectory!
And then, we offer you a second day on a bike partly on the towpaths of the Roanne to Digoin canal and partly on the greenway from Iguerande to Briennon, also along the Loire. An easy, secure circuit, accessible to the smallest, but also to the largest. The greenway will allow you to make a small visit to Charlieu where you can make a few visits, or simply enjoy the beautiful central square of the village on the terrace of a cafe.
ATTENTION FOR THE CANOE AND BIKE ACTIVITY:
The equipment tenant agrees for him and for all the practitioners in this location, on the following conditions:
- know how to swim, immerse themselves and be able to practice water sports.
- Respect the rules and safety instructions on the water and on the road for cycling.
- Wear a life jacket for canoeing at all times.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
Advice: wear an outfit suited to the practice of each activity.
A deposit of € 100 will be required for the location of the equipment.
B&B on the borders of the canal, 200 meters from the river Loire.
Remember to always have enough water for you and adequate clothing for each activity depending on the weather.
By train (at your expense):
From Paris, book your train with the arrival station, Marcigny : from Paris Gare de Lyon, you will stop at the Le Creusot Montchanin TGV station, where you will take a bus to Marcigny. You can then contact a taxi for the journey between Marcigny and your evening stopover.
From Lyon, also book a train with Pouilly sous Charlieu as the arrival station, so you will arrive at Charlieu station, where you will take a bus to Pouilly sous Charlieu. You can then contact a taxi for the journey between Pouilly sous Charlieu and your evening stopover.
By car, we will give you the address of your accommodation the day before your hike, as well as explanations to get there easily by car.

For children under 12 years old, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of the estimate, depending on whether the children are "active" or not (on a bike or in a bike trailer for example).
For families of more than 5 people, for people wanting separate rooms, a supplement will be indicated when quoting for the rental of a second and / or third room, for single-parent families, a supplement will also be indicated.
In all cases, these prices are given as an indication, according to your requests, a quote will be established before booking.
These rates include :
- The complete organization of your stay
- Rental of canoes for day 1 and bikes for day 2 and all the necessary equipment: paddles, life jackets, watertight containers, bicycle helmets, puncture repair kit, anti-theft device and pump
- Half board accommodation in guest rooms from meal of day 1 to breakfast of day 2
These rates do not include :
- Drinks out of the dinner and personal expenses
- Transport to the place of departure of the canoes and return
- Insurance, including cancellation insurance
- An additional night at Céline and Sandy's, the day before and / or the last day of the hike, to stay zen for another evening .
These rates will be confirmed to you when you book, as these may vary depending on the availability of accommodation.
